It’s 6am, but it’s still dark.
I’m not used to that. At home, the sun would have risen 45 minutes ago making it much easier to get out the door.
I have a course mapped out in my head. It involves lots of loops and double-backs … not much fun, but it should get me the distance that I’m hoping for.
Looking out the window I can see a shroud of mist in the air. I’m hoping that it’s rain, but I have a feeling that it’s a glimmer of the kind of humidity I’m going to run through.

As I train for the marathon, i’m realizing i’m going to have to start dealing with loops, double-backs, and altogether too much repetition. But what can us serious runners do? Such sacrifices we make to run ourselves to death, haha.

LOL …
Speaking of running ourselves to death – I’m pretty sure my run this morning nearly led to mine. My 14-mile run became a 12 mile run. I’ve been home for 3 hours and I’m just starting to thinking coherently.
